The Guidance is Here. Now What?

New UK government guidelines (March 2026) advise parents of children under five to limit screen time. For under-twos, screen time should be avoided, except for interactive, shared activities like video calls. For children aged two to five, the recommendation is a maximum of one hour a day, avoiding screens at mealtimes and during the hour before bed.

Childhood deserves to be held, not scrolled.

At The Toadstool Post, we believe the best things in childhood are worth holding. That's why everything we create is hand-illustrated, psychologically informed, and delivered the old fashioned way...through the letterbox, addressed to your child. No algorithms. No autoplay. Just wonder.

Meet Our Founder

Hello! I'm Immi, the founder of The Toadstool Post.

I've always believed childhood should be felt with your hands, not swiped on a screen, from making and drawing to the quiet magic of finding something in the post with your name on it.

I have a Master's in the psychology of education, so I spend a lot of time thinking about how children actually learn, through play, stories and doing things themselves. Every letter, activity and tiny detail is designed with that in mind. Magical, but meaningful too.

I hand-paint every character and every page myself, at our kitchen table. Fox, Badger, Squirrel, Hedgehog and Robin feel a bit like family now.

The Toadstool Post is the thing I wish had landed on my own doormat as a little one. I hope it brings your children as much joy to open as it brings us to make.

With love from the woodland,

Immi 🍄

Made with love,
trusted by parents.
